Carolyn Swartz
Carolyn Swartz presents specific seminars for the Negotiation Institute focusing on her unique methods for teaching participants to become “Master Communicators”. Attendees develop their skill of speaking in public with ease and personality even if they are new at presenting themselves and fearful of how they will be received. The personal contact a speaker makes with the audience is as important as the message itself and a skilled presenter will address the audience in a manner that encourages them to “hear” the message, not just the words.

With over fifteen years’ experience in corporate communications, Carolyn has written speeches for scores of Fortune 500 presenters, and coached them to deliver their presentations with confidence, style, and impact. She has also written keynote speeches for presidents and vice presidents of Fortune 100 companies – for both internal meetings and industry/press events (e.g. Sony for PMA). In addition, she has interviewed top executives for films and videos, coaxing out candid comments and true revelations.
A partial list of Ms. Swartz’s clients are Merrill Lynch, SONY (keynote speeches at industry events), IBM, AT&T, SAP, Johnson & Johnson Corporate, Allergan Eye Care, UCB, Weight Watchers International, Pfizer, Wyeth, Merck, New Holland America, Schering-Plough and Duramed.
Carolyn has written a screenplay and many of her humorous essays have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, New Woman Magazine, The Chicago Tribune, The Miami Herald, and Hysteria Magazine. She has written kids’ shows for Mississippi Public Television and additional dialogue for Whoopi Goldberg in LeVar Burton’s feature film, Blizzard.
Carolyn speaks nearly fluent German, some French, and can carry on polite conversations in Italian and Spanish.
A cum laude graduate of Connecticut College with a Masters Degree in Media Studies from MIT, Carolyn also works as a dialogue coach on films, videos and live dramatic events for major corporations.
